The Parishes of Narraghmore and Moone are part of the Athy Grouping of Parishes in the Archdiocese of Dublin. They are served by one Parish Pastoral Council and by one Parish Office situated in the Parochial House in Crookstown. The parishes cover a combined area of approximately 400 square kilometers, stretching from the West Wicklow border near Dunlavin to the outskirts Athy and from Kilcullen to Castledermot. There are four churches in our parish, from the quaint intimacy of St Ita’s and St Joseph’s to the more spacious Ss Mary & Laurence and Most Blessed Trinity. We are conveniently located close to Rathsallagh House and Kilkea Castle both of which are popular venues for the hosting of wedding receptions.
Our parishes are proud of and foster the strong connections between the parish and our local Catholic primary schools: St Colmcille’s in Moone, Scoil Íde Naofa in Kilmead and St Laurence’s in Crookstown. We look forward to celebrating as a community the various days throughout the year. The Christmas concerts are big events each year across our parishes. The parish does not have a secondary but there are links between the parishes and the secondary schools in the neighbouring parishes of Casteldermot and Athy.
