Baptism

Baptism is the first of three Sacraments of Initiation. It is not an end in itself but rather the first step on a lifelong adventure of growing in relationship with God. This relationship is lived out in and through the Church and our relationships with one and other.

To request the Sacrament of Baptism please contact the Parish Office.

If you have decided to seek Baptism for your child, after you have completed the paperwork, our Parish Baptismal Team who will arrange to meet with you will contact you.

The Sacrament of Baptism (for Infants) is celebrated as follows:

  • St Ita’s church in Kilmead on the second Sunday of each month after the 10:30am mass (usually around 11:30am)
  • Church of the Most Blessed Trinity in Moone, also on the second Sunday of each month after 12noon mass.
  • Church of Ss Mary & Laurence in Crookstown on the last Sunday of each month at 12:45pm.

To request the Sacrament of Baptism for older children or adults please contact the Parish Pastoral Worker.
