Proud Day for Moone Road Run Organisers. Today saw the culmination of a lot of hard work by the committee and volunteers as a cheque for €60,000 was presented to Fr Liam Rigney for the restoration of Moone Church roof. The committee set themselves a goal pre Covid to raise funds for the church restoration and finally got the chance to do so in 2022. A raffle for a smashing Massey Ferguson 135 was run throughout summer 2022 following a lot of hard work by volunteers on the tractor. The draw took place at Castledermot Threshing Day in September last . A busy summer of volunteer ticket selling resulted in a total of €60,000 being raised. The committee would like to thank everyone who volunteered and contributed. We look forward to the 2023 Moone Road Run on Easter Sunday 9th April- a fun day for all the family. Please come along and support the day.
